[ARCHIVED] City Wastewater Dept. Earns Honors

WEF Safety Award

City of Oconomowoc Wastewater employees were recently honored at the Central States Water Environment Association annual conference.

At the Annual Awards Banquet, the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant was honored with the presentation of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) George W. Burke, Jr. Facility Safety Award. This award is given in recognition of active and effective safety programs in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities.  It recognizes a wastewater treatment facility based on its documented safety program and safety record for the preceding year.

Golden Manhole AwardTom Dickson - WWTP Foreman (left) was inducted into the Golden Manhole Society. The Golden Manhole Award is presented to one member from each State Section in recognition of their contributions promoting professionalism and pride among those working in the design, management, construction, operations and maintenance of sanitary sewer collection systems.
