[ARCHIVED] Construction Ahead: Forest Street

Construction ahead

FOREST STREET – S. Main St. to Stadium Dr.

Streets also affected: Westover St. (Forest St. to Oak St.), Elizabeth St. (Forest St. to Oak St.), and Oak St. (Westover St. to Elizabeth St.)

WHAT: Forest Street from S. Main Street to Stadium Drive is being completely reconstructed. This work will begin with underground utility installation which includes replacement of select segments of the watermain, additional storm sewer, and construction of a stormwater pond at the west end of the Roosevelt Park parking lot. Following underground utility installation will be complete pavement reconstruction including new curb and gutter, and sidewalks. The entire project is estimated to be completed by the end of the summer, weather permitting.

WHEN: Beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, excavation of the stormwater pond will precede the construction of a new storm sewer system which will run from the stormwater pond easterly down Forest Street and ending at Forest Court. Possibly at the same time but in different locations, watermain replacement could be occurring as well. Construction updates will be provided on the City’s website as more information is gathered. A link to the City website can be found at http://www.oconomowoc-wi.gov/Streets.

QUESTIONS: If you have any questions regarding this planned work, contact Dave Stoiser, Assistant Director of Public Works at (262) 569-2188.
