Lake Country Triathlon
The 2021 Lake Country Triathlon is Saturday, July 31 starting and ending at City Beach in Oconomowoc.
Here is a map of the road closure and detour route
Beginning at 3 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021
· Wisconsin Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Concord Avenue.
· All west-bound traffic will be closed between Concord Road and Ski Slide Road.
· There will be a single lane of traffic for east bound traffic only from Ski Slide Road to Concord.
Officers will provide access for residents residing on the north side of Wisconsin Avenue at controlled intersections.
The triathlon will start at 6:30 a.m. with professional and elite athletes entering the swim. The first cyclist will be on Wisconsin Avenue at 7:10 a.m. We expect all athletes to finish the race by 2:30 p.m. and to have the entire course open by 3:00 p.m. subject to advisement by police officers that are assigned along the course.
We appreciate your attention during the race and ask that you consider delaying vehicle travel or plan to park in an area that is not along the course to have access to your vehicles during those times for athlete safety. The course will be marked with construction barrels and cones between Concord Avenue and Ski Slide Road beginning at 3:00 a.m. July 31st.
Please do not cross any of these except at a designated or controlled intersection.
The City of Oconomowoc Police Dept. is requesting residences on the north side of W. Wisconsin Ave., that have driveways directly off of W. Wisconsin Ave., to park on side streets south of Wisconsin Avenue on Friday (July 30, 2021) night.
RESIDENCES THAT HAVE DRIVEWAYS ON THE NORTH SIDE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO EXIT THEIR DRIVEWAYS DURING THE EVENT.

Started in 1983, the Lake Country Tri was one of the first and largest tris in Wisconsin. The race would sell out every year but eventually changed hands and disappeared in 1993. Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC brought the event back in 2015 and has sold out each year.
The event is hosted by Silver Circle Sports Events.
The course starts at Oconomowoc's City Beach on Lake Lac Labelle followed by a bike ride through Lake Country's beautiful countryside. The run is right down Wisconsin Avenue with athletes and spectators cheering participants on.
