The City of Oconomowoc Police Department would like to announce the annual Citizens Police Academy will host another course, date to be determined. All classes will be held on Wednesday nights from 6-9pm (locations will vary).

The City of Oconomowoc, Town of Oconomowoc, Village of Oconomowoc Lake, Village of Summit, and Western Lakes Fire District, are sponsoring a Citizens Police Academy. We invite and encourage you to apply to learn more about your local police and fire departments.
Some of the topics to be covered:
Drugs and OWI Impairment
Emergency Vehicle Operations/Traffic Stops
Major Incident Response Team (MIRT)
K-9 Demonstration
Use of Force
Fire/EMS and Drone Operations
Dispatch Operations
Scenario Based Decision-making
and other areas of operations!
This course is NOT a certification; rather, it is designed to educate the public as to the day-to-day operations of your local police and fire departments. Some of the course sessions will include interactive hands-on participation. You are not obligated to participate in the physical aspects of the course if you choose not to. This course is an educational, informational perspective of policing, which will allow you to get to know the men and women who serve your communities.
