Fowler Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District

A Public Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District was established to include the area within the following boundaries: the corporate limits of the City of Oconomowoc, except those portions thereof which are included in the Lac La Belle Public Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.  The Fowler Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District meets annually and the meeting date is set every year during the meeting.  A written notice of the annual meeting and budget hearing will be mailed at least 10 days in advance of the annual meeting to all property owners whose names appear on the tax roll, the DNR and the University of Wisconsin Extension.  The governing board consists of the Mayor and Aldermen that live in the Fowler Lake District but all residents in the district can participate in votes and discussion.  Powers of the district include: studying and planning remedial measures, accepting state financial assistance for approved projects and levying special assessments and issuing bonds thereon in order to finance lake projects.  
 
The 2021 Annual Fowler Lake Rehabilitation and Protection Public Hearing and Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at City Hall in Council Chambers (2nd Floor).
