Absentee Voting
In order to cast an absentee ballot, you must first be registered to vote. If you are registered you may vote:
- In-person at the clerk's office - This can be done starting Tuesday, March 21st until Friday ( March 31st, 2023) before the Spring Election. The hours are: Tuesday, March 21st - Friday, March 24th, 8 am to 4:30 pm and Monday, March 27th - Friday, March 31st, 8 am to 6 pm . PHOTO ID is required.
- Online: MyVote.wi.gov allows registered Wisconsin voters to request an absentee ballot. Please fill in the information and supply a photo ID as requested.
- Request by Mail - Application for Absentee Ballot (EL-121) and mail or it to the City Clerk, Diane Coenen, 174 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin 53066 with a copy of your PHOTO ID. The application must be received by the clerk no later than 4:30 pm on the Thursday before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you.
- Military and Permanent Overseas Voters can register and apply for absentee ballots by clicking here.
- PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED.
***The completed absentee ballot must be returned by the voter to your municipal clerk no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day.
If you are not registered to vote, click here to download Voter Registration Application (EL-131). Proof of Residency is required.
Note: You may submit both a voter registration application and an application for absentee ballot at the same time.
Please note: Absentee ballots may not be hand-carried outside of City Hall. You may not pick up an absentee ballot for anyone else and take it to them.
