Mark your calendars for Sept. 8th from 8am-12pm: The City of Oconomowoc will hold its special one-day collection of household and agricultural hazardous waste open to any Waukesha County resident . The collection will take place at the Oconomowoc Public Works building located at 630 South Worthington Street.
Accepted household hazardous waste from Waukesha County residents includes old, unusable chemicals, pesticides, wood preservatives, solvents, oil-based paints, and mercury-containing products. Latex paint, non-hazardous cleaning materials, antifreeze, motor oil, and filters will not be accepted. Check with your municipal drop-off site for antifreeze, motor oil, and oil filter recycling. Residents are required to have their ID scanned to verify proof of residency.

An art exhibit titled “Americana, Now and Then” featuring original works of art by Oconomowoc artists, Heidi Hallett, John Hallett and Anne Raskopf will be on display in the OAC Art Gallery Sept. 7 to Oct. 6. A Meet n’ Greet with the artists will take place from 6 to 7:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, prior to the Main Stage concert of Backtrack Vocals at 7:30 p.m.
